Spa Creators is launching a new spa concept which offers a pre-designed and built self-contained spa called a Spashell.
A Spashell is a fully functioning, working spa complete with eight fully furnished treatment rooms, thermal experiences, deep relaxation area, juice bar and a spa lounge that leads to an outdoor balcony terrace overlooking the hot tub.
This concept, developed and designed by Spa Creators, has been created from identifying a need in the market for a spa that could be designed, developed and delivered to its pre prepared site, requiring no foundations with minimal building works or interruptions to daily operations.
It is designed to provide an additional revenue stream for boutique hotels and venue-based businesses markets which might not have the time, money or expertise to create a large-scale spa build.
Spashell headoffice is a franchise spa business offering a turnkey fully working spa, managing the launch process from start to finish.
Designed using eco-modular construction methods, the spas have a central building and eight spa treatment pods that are connected to the main building. The spa footprint measures 20m by 20m.
The client provides the mains electric and water which the hub of the spashell is plumbed into.
The core building and each spa pod is clad in Siberian Larch Wood chosen for low maintenance, high manufacturing standards, and for being an aesthetically beautiful timber. Siberian Larch was chosen to blend sympathetically with the countryside and its environment and is naturally resistance to decay.
The building is a facetted circular construction with a cantilevered roof to the outdoor balcony, designed around a structure known as the ‘Oyster’. This is the hub of the spa and houses the reception, changing areas, thermal suite on the ground floor.
The spas can be quickly installed with minimal interruptions to the venue and costs, however, the operator is to provide services to the building and the staff. Once installed and connected the spa is ready to go.
